Octavio Getino (born in August 6, 1935 in Leon, Spain Octavio Getino, Cinenacional.com) is an Argentinean film director who is best known for co-founding, along with Fernando Solanas, the school of Third Cinema.
Getino was born in Spain and migrated to Argentina in the 1950s.
