Hugo Hernan Garay is a heavyweight boxer from Argentina, who represented his native country at the 2000 Summer Olympics. There he was stopped in the first round of the men's light-heavyweight division by Kazakhstan's Olzhas Orazaliev.
A year earlier he won the bronze medal in the men's light-heavyweight category at the 1999 Pan American Games. Garay made his professional debut on 2001-07-14, defeating Abel Alejandro Rodriguez.
Garay will fight Danny Green for the WBA Light Heavyweight Championship on April 27 at Challenge Stadium in Perth, Australia.
