Copa de Competencia Jockey Club

Copa de Competencia Jockey Club is a defunct football tournament which took place in Argentina between 1907 and 1933.


The Copa de Competencia Jockey Club was first awarded in 1906 to the winners of the Argentine qualifiers for the final of the Tie Cup competition which was played between teams from Argentina and Uruguay.

Teams affiliated to the Liga Argentina de Futbol and Federacion Rosarina de Futbol were allowed to enter to this competition. From the 1925 edition, only teams from Buenos Aires, belonging to the professional and amateur leagues were allowed to play.

Arter the final edition of the Tie Cup in 1919, the Copa de Competencia Jockey Club was played on four more occasions in 1921, 1925, 1931 and 1936. It was contested on a total of 17 occasions and the most successful teams were Alumni and San Isidro with three titles each.
