Brian Sarmiento
Brian Sarmiento is an Argentine football midfielder/forward. He was born on April 22 1990, in the city of Rosario. He is currently suspended by FIFA from playing for Racing de Santander of the Spanish La Liga.
Racing Santander spent a long while chasing Sarmiento, who fell out with Estudiantes de La Plata over a contract dispute. They eventually got his signature in August of 2007, but Estudiantes filed for a suspension because Sarmiento left the club in violation of first-contract provisions, apparently to reunite with his father. On October 11, 2007, FIFA announced that Sarmiento is not allowed to play official football. Racing announced that it will appeal the decision, while the possibility has been raised that Racing may negotiate with Estudiantes for a formal transfer.
Sarmiento has represented Argentina in the U-17 category.
