Ricardo Dominguez Urbano-Taylor

Businessman, urbanist and entrepreneur, owner of El Heraldo, a well-known newspaper in Caracas. Dominguez, alongside his partners, Jose Loreto Arismendi and Luis Roche, is responsible for developing the east side of Caracas. He designed and financed the construction of residential areas such as La Catellana, Altamira, El Country Club, and tried to do so with Caricuao, but an agrarian reform decreed by President Romulo Betancourt, who ironically had been an employee of Dominguez, made it virtually impossible.
