Club Atletico San Isidro
The Club Atletico San Isidro (CASI) is a rugby union club in San Isidro, Buenos Aires, Argentina, member of the Union de Rugby de Buenos Aires.
History
The club was founded on October 24, 1902 but rugby was not played by the club until 1907; it is the top Buenos Aires team with 33 titles. In 1935 several players and part of the management were suspended from the club over ideological discrepancies, and went on to found the San Isidro Club (SIC).
The match between CASI and San Isidro Club has been a local derby since then, the last of them at the final of the 2005 URBA's Championship (Torneo de la URBA), which CASI won 18-17 with a penalty in the last minutes, after 20 years without an URBA title. One of its famous players Agustin Pichot who has played club rugby in France and is now with Leinster in Ireland.
