I saw your request as I have been looking at all things Peruvian. I recently returned from Cusco, after spending 6 weeks there. I have been researching about Jew in South America, in particular Peru, and have found a few interesting things, but not much. Unfortunately I did not have time to visit the Synagogue in Lima. However, after reading your request I Googled Judaisim in Peurto Montt, and found some very interesting articles,not really what I had imagined. Perhaaps you have already done the same. If not, I suggest you do.
