Supe Puerto
Supe Puerto is located on the coast of Peru approximately 120km north of Lima and is part of the Supe Valley.
The fishing industry collapsed during the 1970s and the current the economy is dismal. Unemployment is the norm and extended families of 8-10 live off of one relative that may have a job in the next city. When people leave they don't even attempt to sell their house. They abandon it. More than 60% of the buildings in the downtown area are vacant.
