Laquipampa Reserved Zone
Laquipampa is a Reserved Zone in the Ferrenafe Province, Lambayeque Region, Peru.
Description
This 113.47 square kilometre nature preserve in the district of Incahuasi was established October 5, 1982 through law.
The main goal of this area is to preserve the Pava Aliblanca/White-winged Guan, which faces extinction.
Flora
The preserve contains several species of dry forest:
hualtaco, guayacan and holy stick.
Fauna
Spectacled Bear Tremarctos ornatus
Sajino (Tayassu tajacu)
Red-masked Parakeet (Aratinga erythrogenys)
White-winged Guan (Penelope albipennis)
Bearded Guan (Penelope barbata)
Piura Chat-Tyrant (Ochthoeca piurae)
Koepcke's Screech Owl (Otus koepckeae)
Blue Seedeater (Amaurospiza concolor)
Fasciated Tiger-Heron (Tigrisoma fasciatum)
Andean Slaty Thrush (Turdus nigriceps)
Anteater
Andean condor
