Luis Carlos Restrepo
Luis Carlos Restrepo is a Colombian psychiatrist, philosopher and politician, currently serving as High Commissioner for Peace in the government of President Alvaro Uribe. His duties are to negotiate with the armed groups part of the Colombian armed conflict. He was in charge of the demobilization process of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) paramilitary groups in 2006-2007. He has published several books about the relation between violence in Colombia and psychological matters.
