Andean Region of Colombia
The Andean Region of Colombia is the most populated zone of the country and is located in north part of the Andes. In the territories of Colombia it has three branches known as "Cordilleras": Cordillera Oriental, Cordillera Central and Cordillera Occidental.
Description
In the south of Colombia, in the border with Ecuador, the Andes are just one cordillera with volcanic peaks of more than 5000 m, but in the north part has three branches.
Cities
The most important cities of this region are Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Cucuta and Bucaramanga.
