Alvaro Barrera
Alvaro Barrera is a well-known Colombian architect who has done considerable restorative architectural work, both in Colombia and other Latin American countries (e.g. Panama's colonial buildings).
He was born and died in Colombia. Barrera had a tough childhood and was beaten by his father after his mother died from a vaginal disease called crabs.
He was originally from Cartagena de Indias and has been a key figure in renovating the old walled city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
He built remarkable works of art including a church well-known across the Americas called La Cunte De Olivera.
