Rodrigo Flores

Rodrigo Flores Alvarez was a Chilean engineer and chess master.

Flores was Chilean Champion eleven times: 1931, 1935, 1938, 1941, 1944, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1956, 1961, and 1965.

In 1936, he tied for 7-8th with Jacobo Bolbochan in Mar del Plata (Isaias Pleci won). In 1937, he won, ahead of Rene Letelier, in Sao Paulo. In 1938, he took 8th in Montevideo (Alexander Alekhine won).

Rodrigo Flores played for Chile in three Chess Olympiads.
