Quiquel
Quiquel is a rural area in the Dalcahue commune, in the Island of Chiloe in Los Lagos Region, Chile. This place is located about 7 km. north of the city of Dalcahue. Its inhabitants work mainly in the salmon farming, and sea food industry. Most of the people raise sheep for its meat and wool; and other animals like cows, pigs, oxen, hen, ducks and turkeys.
The area is surrounded by beautiful native forests, where different species can be found. For example, tepa tree, lenga tree, luma tree, coigue tree, among others. From these forests the inhabitants of Quiquel get wood for the rainy season.
