Pastel de choclo is a typical Chilean dish made of fresh ground corn (choclo) with basil. It is traditionally served in a paila (earthenware bowl). Commonly mixed in with the choclo is ground beef, chicken, black olives, onions and/or slices of hard boiled eggs.
