History
Belonging to the frigate class "Leander", Almirante Lynch (PFG-07)'s keel was laid in December of 1971, and was launched December 6, 1972. It was completed and put under the Chilean flag on May 25, 1974. She set sail for Chile after completing a period of training with the British Navy, arriving in Valparaiso on February 14, 1975. In active reserve from December 14, 2006 was decommissioned Juny 4, 2007. HMS Grafton (F80) a Type 23 frigate of the Royal Navy, was sold to the Chilean Navy and was delivered to Chilean Navy on March 28, 2007 in Portsmouth and renamed Almirante Lynch (FF-07). Her sistership Almirante Condell was decommissioned on 11 december 2007.
