Chacabuco Province
The Chacabuco Province is one of the provinces in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile. It is located north of the Province of Santiago, (which is entirely urbanized and part of the Santiago connurbation). It has an area of 5.615 km and a population (2002 census) of 132.798 (99.201 urban and 33.597 rural). It is composed by three municipalities (comunas):
Colina, the capital city: pop. 77,815
Lampa: pop. 40,228
Til-Til: pop. 14,755
The provincial governor is Ivan Torres Laureda.
