Cauquenes Province
Cauquenes Province is a province located in VII Maule Region, Chile. The provincial capital is the city of Cauquenes.
Geography and Demography
The province of Cauquenes is one of four provinces of the VII Maule Region, Chile. The provincial capital, Cauquenes, lies approximately 370 km southwest of Santiago. The provincial area is 3,114 Km and the population is 58,112 (2002 Census). The province has three municipalities and "comunas": Cauquenes (the provincial capital), Chanco and Pelluhue.
