Arturo Valenzuela is an Chilean-American academic who is currently the director of the Center for Latin American Studies at Georgetown University.
Biography
Valenzuela was born in Chile and moved to the United States at the age of 16 in order to attend college. His studies focused on politics in Latin America. He was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary for Inter-American Affairs in the United States Department of State by President Bill Clinton, during his first term.
