Olive Tanager
The Olive Tanager (Chlorothraupis carmioli), also known as '''Carmiol's Tanager'(but see taxonomic info further down), is a species of bird traditionally placed in the family Thraupidae, though some recent evidence suggest it is better placed in Cardinalidae''.
It is often split into two species:
Carmiol's Tanager . Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and far north-western Colombia (near the Panama border).
Olive Tanager . Found locally in the Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
