Princess Alexia of the Netherlands

Princess Alexia of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau ), is the second daughter of Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange, the heir apparent to the throne of the Netherlands, and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, his spouse.

Life

Princess Alexia was born in the Bronovo Hospital in The Hague. Her baptism took place on November 19, 2005 in Wassenaar. The godparents to Princess Alexia are: Princess Mathilde, Duchess of Brabant; Jonkvrouwe Alexandra Jankovich de Jeszenice; Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau; Juan Zorreguieta and Jonkheer Frans Ferdinand de Beaufort.

Princess Alexia is third in line to the Dutch throne, behind her father and elder sister, Amalia. She also has a younger sister, Ariane.

Alexia is after her father.

Juliana is after her great-grandmother, the former Queen Juliana of the Netherlands

Marcela is after her mother's aunt and godmother, Marcela Cerruti

Laurentien is after her aunt Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands.

All children of Prince Willem-Alexander will bear the title of Prince (Princess) of the Netherlands and Prince (Princess) of Orange-Nassau .
