Parana-Uruguayana pipeline is a 440-kilometers long 24-inch natural gas pipeline, which connects the TGN network at Aldea Brasilera, Parana in Argentina with Uruguaiana in Brazil. The pipeline supplies natural gas to a 600-MW power plant in Uruguaiana.
The pipeline is operational since July 2000. The Argentine section is operated by Transportadora de Gas de Mercosur and the Brazilian section is operated by Transportadora Sul Brasileira de Gas. Parana-Uruguayana pipeline cots US$250 million. There is a plan to extend the pipeline from Uruguaiana to Porto Alegre.
