Latin internet portal founded in 1997, by Roberto Vivo-Chaneton and Roberto Cibrian-Campoy. Founded in Argentina, El Sitio was considered one of the principal Spanish language internet companies of the late 1990s dot-com boom.
Company History
El Sitio went public on Nasdaq under symbol LTCO on December 10, 1999, in an IPO consisting of 8,200,000 common shares at a price of $16 per share.
