At the elections of 2007, Tomada headed the Front for Victory list of candidates for National Deputy for the city of Buenos Aires. [*] He was elected in October 2007. However, the newly elected President Cristina Fernandez reappointed him to his cabinet role and Tomada did not take his seat in Congress.
