Antigua, My Life is a 2001 Argentine drama film directed by Hector Olivera and written by Angeles Gonzalez Sinde, from the novel by Marcela Serrano. Starring Ana Belen and Cecilia Roth.
Plot
Two upper middle class women from Buenos Aires are trapped in relationships that aren't working well. One is in an abusive relationship, the other is selfish towards her family. The catalyst for change is the murder of the abusive husband by his wife, Cecilia Roth's character. Her best friend, Ana Belen, tries to help her through this process, and by doing so has to tackle her own problems. Cecilia Roth manages to portray very well the shifts of emotion between happiness and fear. Ana Belen balances on a the thin line between selfish stuck up diva, and self determined caring confident woman.
Many scenes of the film were shot in Guatemala.

The film premiered in 3 May 2001. Actress Cecilia Roth won a silver condor award for Best Actress in 2002.
