Alicia Candiani is an international Argentine artist and independent scholar based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Alicia Candianis work explores female identity and issues of gender, while investigating and commenting upon the political and social issues in Latin America.
She studied at National University of Cordoba, Argentina : University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (Art Criticism 1989-91) and Iowa State University, United States . She has exhibited extensively in over 300 shows and one-person exhibitions since 1977.
